Flextend AC Kit–Add-on To the Original Glove

Posted on May 26, 2005May 5, 2017

Flextend makes a glove with rubber tubing that helps you exercise the muscles in your hand to combat symptoms of RSI.  They’re going to be expanding on their orginal glove with a new add-on kit.  Flextend alone focuses on the muscles in the hand, but the AC Kit is designed to work on strengthening the upper body in general (since muscle imbalances from typing/mouse/etc aren’t necessarily relegated to the hands, even though that may be where the pain shows up).

Here’s a little blurb from the fact sheet Jeff, the clinician I’ve been working with over at Flextend, sent: “The AC Kit provides every shoulder, chest, back and arm exercise that physical therapists, chiropractors and physicians recommend for prevention and/or rehabilitation of upper extremity injuries.  The AC Kit is portable and eliminates all gripping motions that can cause further muscle imbalances to occur in the hand and forearm.”

The Flextend AC Kit is still listed as coming soon (I believe Jeff mentioned it would be available this summer), but here’s a link to the pdf file I’m quoting above: http://www.repetitive-strain.com/PDF/FlextendACCatalogSheet0105Revised.pdf
